Ashlee and Jake were one of my very first wedding couples when I started my photography business. You can check out a few of their wedding photos from Villa Siena by clicking HERE. It is always exciting to see past Bride and Groom’s embark on the adventure of becoming parents. It’s even more exciting when they ask you to photograph their maternity session.
It was a freezing cold and rainy day when we took these photos. I actually called Ashlee early in the afternoon to make sure she was comfortable shooting with the impending rain. As I was waiting in the parking lot for them to arrive the rain drops filled my windshield. It looked like we might have to cancel. They arrived a few minutes later and we caught a lucky break in the weather. The sky was a deep stormy blue and the sun was shining on the yellow fall leaves that were glistening with the fresh rain. The setting looked like something out of a fairytale. A complete gentleman, Jake draped his jacket over her shoulders in between photo locations to keep her warm. She was so cold, but such a trooper. I love the images we captured. Can’t wait to see pictures of their baby girl who will be arriving this February.
