Cassie and Josh have been together for 9 years. They officially became husband and wife just a couple weeks ago at the Scottsdale Civic Center. They exchanged vows at sunset surrounded by family and loved ones. This backyard reception was filled to the brim with cute DIY details. The bride began preparations for her big day by getting ready at her grandmothers house with her bridesmaids.
Before heading to the ceremony at the Scottsdale Civic Center we captured a few bridal portraits in front of this stellar cactus in grandma’s front yard.
The vibrant and rustic bridal bouquet of yellow sunflowers and purple stock was a striking combination.
As a surprise to the Groom, Cassie sewed this sweet message on the back of his tie.
The look on a Groom’s face when he sees his Bride for the first time is always such emotional moment to capture.
The groomsmen wore mismatch (but perfectly coordinated) bow ties, and the Bridesmaids held sprigs of lavender.
Getting married at the beginning of Summer is Phoenix is always a challenge, but the Bride had the situation covered for her Bridesmaids with these delicate gold foiled paper fans.
The reception was filled with details galore! This DIY Bride left no detail undone.
The homemade pies were a huge hit with the guests. Such a clever alternative to wedding cake. Trust me… no one missed the cake with this display of deserts!!
Thank you for allowing me to capture your first day as husband and wife. I wish you many more decades of happiness. You are truly one of the sweetest couples I have met. Congratulations- the party has just begun!
Congratulations Josh and Cassie. Just goes to show waiting is well worth it. The pictures and story are something that will be remembered forever. So very happy for both of you!
Love, Aunt Penny
The photos are amazing, the day came to life all over again.Gretchen was wonderful to spend the day with. She became a family member blending in with everyone. She has a great eye for the emotion of the day.
Your wedding photos were beautiful. You looked really pretty in your wedding dress. You are the first great grandchild to marry in our family. Grandpa Al and Grandma Dorothy and of course your Grandpa Jerry would be proud. They are looking down from heaven at you and Jsh. Welcome to the family Josh.
Thank you Gretchen for capturing our day so beautifully! We can not wait to see the rest!
