I will never again walk past the Famous Dave’s restaurant at the Chandler Mall without smiling…and it all has to do with Michelle and Nick.

Four years ago, Nick and Michelle planned to meet at a Chipotle for what would become their first date.   The problem was the Chipotle at Chandler Fashion Center is hidden.  Michelle called Nick and said she was circling and couldn’t find it.  He asked her where she was, she looked around and said, “Uh…by a Famous Daves?” and he told her to park and he’d meet me there.  They were still having trouble finding each other!  Michelle called him back and said, “I am looking at Famous Daves, and there’s a statue of a bear.  I’ll stand near that.”  When they eventually found each other, he pointed out that the statue near Famous Dave’s is, in fact, a PIG.  

Fast forward four years later.   They headed back to the Bear Pig—this time together.  There were flowers, wine and the sweetest proposal as Nick asked Michelle to marry him.  In front of the Bear Pig.  At Famous Dave’s.  

I love this proposal story- and loved this couple from the first time we met.  We headed downtown to the Burton Barr Library for their engagement session and these are just a few of my favorite images.  Enjoy!
